Karla is a lawyer who graduated in 2013 from the Universidad Autónoma de Mexico. After obtaining her law degree, she completed a Diploma in Administrative Law, as well as a specialization in Intellectual Property.
She began her professional practice as a legal examiner in the Registration and Contracts Department, where she was responsible for the contract registration process in matters of copyright and related rights.
Her passion for copyright law led her to work at one of the most important international publishing houses, becoming part of the legal team at Grupo Planeta. There, she applied her expertise in literature, overseeing approximately 150 monthly book titles and managing more than 150 ISBN registrations per month for consumer sales.
Later, she decided to shift from the literary field to the world of entertainment, becoming Head of the Legal Department at Estudios TeleMéxico. She played a key role in major audiovisual projects, including: José José (Netflix), La Partitura Perfecta (Disney+ LATAM), El Galán (Star+), El Rey de los Machos (Star+), and Julio Verne: La Trilogía (Disney+), among others.
